About

Jodi Jarecke serves as the Pre-Health Career Coach at the T. Rowe Price Career and Innovation Center at UCCS, where she partners with students on their journeys toward careers in healthcare. With a strong commitment to building meaningful relationships, Jodi offers personalized guidance on career planning and professional education, while walking alongside students through the often complex application process. Jodi’s passion for healthcare and education is at the heart of her work, inspiring her to foster a welcoming, collaborative space where students can explore, grow, and thrive.

Jodi earned her Doctorate in Adult Education from Penn State University in 2011, where her dissertation focused on teacher-learner relationships in medical education. She also holds a Master of Public Health from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Rutgers University, with minors in Urban Studies and Community Development, as well as in Philosophy.

Much of Jodi's professional work has been dedicated to curriculum development for health education programs and creating interventions that enhance teacher-learner and provider-patient relationships in the healthcare context. As a consultant, Jodi assisted in the development of the Internal Medicine Resident Communication Curriculum at Penn State College of Medicine and contributed to various projects exploring innovative pedagogies in medical and nursing education, in areas such as peer tutoring, arts-based learning, and doctor-patient communication.

Outside of work, Jodi loves spending time with her family, traveling anywhere and everywhere, writing, and cheering her kids on from the sidelines.
