Clyde’s Closet is a free, gently used professional clothing closet for UCCS students and alumni to utilize for interviews, career fairs, special events, and everything in between. Students can select up to 8 items per semester (free of charge and no requirement to return the clothing). Clyde’s Closet carries hundreds of clothing items great for any career development event.

Student information: UCCS student and alumni may visit Clyde's Closet during office hours. No appointment is necessary.

After entering the Career Center, Clyde's Closet is located down the first hallway on the left. (After all the offices and just past the coffee maker -which is complimentary for students, alumni, faculty, and staff!).

Make sure to keep an eye out for Clyde’s Pop-Up Closet that makes special appearances at tabling events and other gatherings across campus each semester.

Donation Information

We welcome donations of clean, gently used professional clothing in good condition.

Accepted Donations 

  • Business casual attire 

  • Professional attire 

  • Formal business attire 

  • Professional shoes and accessories 

Please Do Not Donate 

  • Used socks or undergarments 

  • Sweatpants 

  • Athletic wear 

  • Graphic t-shirts 

  • Clothing with holes, tears, stains, or excessive wear

Donation Location & Parking

Clyde next to the olympic flame statue

Because all UCCS buildings share the same primary address, campus can be difficult to navigate. Please refer to the campus map and written directions below for directions and parking information. Our location is the UCCS University Center(if you are using Google Maps you can put in UCCS University Center as the location and it will take you to the correct spot) you can park by the large Olympic flame statue and put on your hazards and call us at (719) 255-3340 and a staff member will be out shortly to assist.

For the easiest access, enter campus at the Meadow Lane light. This is the 1st light if you are driving west (toward the mountains/I-25) and the 3rd light if you are driving east (away from the mountains/I-25).

Visitors may temporarily park near the Olympic Flame Statue (the photo on the right is for reference), turn on their hazard lights, call (719) 255-3340. A staff member will come out to assist with the donation.

Donation Needs and Rules:

We are currently accepting donations for ALL BUSINESS CASUAL, PROFESSIONAL, and FORMAL ITEMS!

Below are some items that students have expressed a greater need for: 

  • Petite or small women’s blazers and blouses
  • Belts
  • Smaller sizes (26 – 32 waist size) for men’s pants
  • Smaller size men’s blazers
