Clyde’s Closet is a free, gently used professional clothing closet for UCCS students and alumni to utilize for interviews, career fairs, special events, and everything in between. Students can select up to 7 items per semester (free of charge and no requirement to return the clothing). Clyde’s Closet carries hundreds of clothing items great for any career development event.

Student information: UCCS students can come by any time during our office hours (Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm) to utilize Clyde’s Closet, no appointments are necessary. The closet is located in the UCCS Career Center (UC 114) and will be down the 5th hallway to the left after entering (just past the coffee maker -which is complimentary for students and staff!).

Get to know Clyde’s Closet! Check out our fully stocked closet during our office hours. We have all kinds of business professional clothing including pants, tops (of all kinds), dresses, blazers, even ties and shoes! Make sure to keep an eye out for Clyde’s Pop-Up Closet that makes special appearances at tabling events and other gatherings across campus each semester.

Please email us at careers@uccs.edu and we will answer any questions you have as well as provide instructions and a map for where to go and how to proceed with donating items. Please look below for a list of items that we are currently accepting for donations.

Donation Information

Please do not donate used socks or undergarments. We will not accept these donations for sanitary reasons. Please do not donate casual wear such as sweatpants, athletic wear, or graphic tees, we will not accept these items as they are not business wear. Please ensure all donations are in good condition with no holes or tears.

You are able to donate at any time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. If you have a large quantity of clothing, please let us know and we will have a wagon prepped for assistance.  

Our location is the UCCS University Center; you can park by the large Olympic flame statue and put on your hazards and call us at (719) 255-3340 and a staff member will be out shortly to assist. Please note that all of the UCCS campus has the same address, 1420 Austin Bluffs Parkway; we have included a map showing the location of the University Center and the easiest way to get to the location described above. The red line shows the path to drive and the star is where to park; please turn into UCCS at the Meadow Lane light - this is the 1st light if you are driving towards the mountains and the 3rd light if you are driving away from the mountains.

Donation Needs and Rules:

We are currently accepting donations for ALL BUSINESS CASUAL, PROFESSIONAL, and FORMAL ITEMS!

Below are some items that students have expressed a greater need for: 

  • Petite or small women’s blazers and blouses
  • Belts
  • Smaller sizes (26 – 32 waist size) for men’s pants
  • Smaller size men’s blazers
