This is anexciting, high paced position that seeks someone who is self-motivated andhighly organized to help guide and represent the UCCS Radio Station. The UCCSRadio Station Manager is someone who oversees the day-to-day operations, and theentire station at our university. They will schedule and organize all shows,help plan events on campus, and be the primary point of contact for anythingrelated to UCCS radio. This job will require constant communication withstudents and staff, regular meetings with coworkers and advisors, as well as aninvolvement every day in the operations of UCCS Radio. This job will entail abroad range of knowledge and skills involving managing various computerprograms to sequence music and shows, technical capabilities for equipmentinside the studio, overseeing the budget as well as other student employees andvolunteers, and facilitating events on campus. Many of these aspects can belearned on the job if there is a strong desire and passion to do so. It will beimportant for this person to be able to work very well independently, andcollaboratively with others.

General
· Recruit and retain members of UCCSRadio
· Train employees and volunteers
· Communicate with various campusmembers and entities
· Create in-station and music programing
· Work with Board of Directors to alignprojects with UCCS Radio Vision
· Communicate expectations of UCCSRadio/UCCS to members of the station
· Perform maintenance on Radio stationequipment and software
· Attend,Dj, and emcee events
· Adjust and change parts of the Code ofConduct and the Ethics guidelines, general Radio Policy as deemed fit
Recruitment/Retention
· Work with Board of Directors torecruit members during the summer and throughout the school year duringorientations tabling campus events
· Create general staff meetings toentice new interest and inform current members
· Communicate with returning and newmembers to work with their schedules and help them best serve UCCS Radio basedon their interests and talents
Training
· Create training manuals forappropriate positions and general staff
· Understand responsibilitiesof specialized staff in case of vacancy
· Train all new members of Radioin-studio with Internal Engineer
· Cross-train staff as necessary
Communication
· Check email at least once a day
· Communicate with Advisor on ascheduled basis
· Communicate changes in policy,schedule, and station availability with all members of UCCS Radio
· Communicate with Board ofDirectors weekly
· Establish and maintain connectionswith on-campus clubs and entities to establish events and spots for clubs/orgs
· Communicate with SMOs and the SMAB toensure compliance and cohesiveness across the board
· Communicate with Student Life ProStaff to ensure compliance with policy
· Assist in large events, especiallythose in need of funding or new large-scale projects
ProgramSchedule
· Create station program schedule in atimely manner every semester
