Assistant Lead Qualified Student Assistants can cover as a substitute teacher for University Staff Lead Teachers and/or assist teachers for the beginning and end of the classroom schedule. Assistant Leads help the Leads in carrying out lesson plans and classroom programs for children ages 1-11 years old in toddler, preschool, and school age camp classrooms. Duties include, but are not limited to; opening and closing the classroom before or after the Lead is working for the day. They assist in implementing lesson plans and carrying out the classroom program, supervision of children in classrooms, halls, play yards and restrooms, teaching and caring for children, cleaning classrooms and materials, toileting and diapering, classroom maintenance, communication with Lead Teachers, families and administration and all other duties as assigned.
This position is eligible for sick leave under the Colorado Healthy Families & Workplaces Act.

Must be Assistant Lead Teacher qualified by the State of Colorado Childcare Licensing. Must be available to work for shifts at least 4 hours long. Preferred but not required: experience working with children of like ages. All students employees must pass a background check, all employees will receive orientation and in classroom raining by the supervising teachers. Job may continue semester to semester depending on performance and work study award, if mutually agreed.
