Career Highlights

Welcome Catherine "Kate" Crandell to the T. Rowe Price Career and Innovation Center

The T. Rowe Price Career and Innovation Center is excited to welcome Catherine "Kate" Crandell, PT, DPT, MDiv, as our new part-time Pre-Health Career Coach.

Kate brings extensive experience in physical therapy education, student mentoring, healthcare career development, and community engagement. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with students pursuing healthcare professions, helping them develop professionally and prepare for clinical and academic success.

Prior to joining UCCS, Kate served as an Associate Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Bellarmine University, where she taught a variety of graduate level physical therapy courses, mentored students, coordinated clinical education experiences, and led service-learning initiatives. She also contributed to research, professional presentations, and community wellness programs focused on health and rehabilitation.

In her role at UCCS, Kate will support students exploring and preparing for healthcare careers through career coaching, professional development, and guidance related to pre-health pathways.

We are excited to have Kate join the Career Center team and look forward to the impact she will have on our students and campus community.

  • The UCCS Early Career Development Program is specifically designed to support Undecided students as they explore potential paths and find their "North Star"—a career identity that aligns with who they are. Our goal is to help guide students still deciding their major from "Undecided" to "Purposeful" by identifying their unique strengths, motivations, and values. - To help students determine the best major for their goals, students in the Early Career Development Program will be required to complete three key requirements during the Fall 2026 semester:
    • Academic Advising Appointment: Start by scheduling an appointment with the Undecided academic advisor to discuss their interests and begin exploring potential majors that fit the vision for their future.
    • Attend a Career Exploration Workshop: Participate in a workshop focused on identity and career development to clarify academic strengths, personality type, and work values.
    • Attend the UCCS Majors Fair (College Representative Event):  Attend this event to meet with representatives from our various academic colleges. This is a fantastic opportunity to get direct guidance on different majors and the career paths they lead to.
    • Experiential Learning (Strongly Recommended): Participate in career interviews, job shadowing, and volunteer opportunities to help students find their "North Star"
