The College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Graduate Part time Instructors in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering from which future appointments will be made. Appointments are part-time and will be made semester-by-semester. Actual work hours and schedule will vary by need.
Grad Instructors will teach undergraduate or graduate classes for the department of Computer Science; depending on experience and background. Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid. In addition to teaching the course, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: class and/or lab preparation, examinations and grading (all grades must besubmitted including any I’s assigned), and maintaining office hours for student consultations,etc.
Salary range: $4,000-$5,000 per 3-credit hour course. Pay rate is dependent upon education and experience of the graduate instructor. Compensation is prorated based on course credit hours.
-Enrolled in a graduate degree program within the College of Engineering & Applied Science. Applicants from other degree programs may be considered if they possess a relevant educational background.
-Demonstrated ability and knowledge to adequately teach course material.
-Currently in good academic standing.
-Previous teaching or teaching assistant experience preferred.
